Just type normally and use
spaces between keywords or numbers and don't use uncommon symbols
Search automatically recognizes product numbers, dimensions, pull force,
surface field (gauss), magnet grade, coating, color, magnetization direction,
hole size, shape, type, application, and more. You can combine multiple search
terms in a single search to quickly find the best matching products.
Use filters to narrow results. Too many keyword matches might have no results
(ex: red rubber n52, we carry these separately, but not together as a combo in
1 magnet). If you cannot find a magnet, please try a different combo or
contact us for assistance.
1. Product Numbers

Exact product numbers are checked first.
Related sizes and product families may also be shown.
Examples:
D42
D42-N52
BX084
MMA - pn base (show all related)
MMS-A - pn family (show all -A)
BX0 - pn wild (show all starting with BX0)
2. Dimensions
Supports imperial and metric dimensions, including:
Fractions (1/4, 1 1/2)
Decimals (.375, 0.25, 1.75)
Inches (1/2 in, 1.5"",
2 inches)
Millimeters (8mm, 2.5 mm)
Centimeters (2cm, 3.5cm)
Multiple dimensions (1/2 x 1/8, 8x3mm,
1 x 1 x 1/4)
If an exact size isn't available, nearby sizes or min/max are also
shown. No UOM will default to imperial inches.
3. Pull Force & Surface Field
Pull force supports:
Pounds (20.5 lb, 90 lbs)
Ounces (8 oz)
Kilograms (5 kg)
Surface field supports:
Gauss (819 gauss, 1000g,
2500 gs)
Tesla (0.8 T, 1 tesla)
If an exact value isn't available, nearby values or min/max are also
shown.
4. Keywords & Product Features
Search by shape, type, application, coating, color, grade, magnetization
direction, hole size, and more.
Examples:
rubber disc magnet
ring magnet screw hole
round red n52 magnets
countersunk M5 hole
fishing magnet
5. Combine Everything
You can combine multiple search terms in one search.
Examples:
1/2 disc N52
20 lb block magnet 1x1in n52
sewing magnets pair large 1"" N38, NI
1"" ring pairs with hole for screw
Results are ranked by how well they match your entire search.

Product Description
The mw24-4 is a 200-foot spool of 24-gauge solid copper magnet wire with a
0.0213" (0.54 mm) wire diameter. It features thin polyurethane/polyamide
(nylon) enamel insulation for tightly wound coils and operates from -22°F
(-30°C) to 266°F (130°C). The wire is solderable at 806°F (430°C), RoHS
compliant, and meets MIL JW-1177/9, MW 28-C, Class 130 specifications.
The mw24-4 enamel-coated copper magnet wire is designed for winding
electromagnets, motors, generators, transformers, inductors, solenoids,
speakers, and other electrical coils. Its thin insulation allows adjacent
turns to be wound closely together while remaining electrically isolated,
making efficient use of available winding space. It is a versatile choice
for engineers, makers, technicians, hobbyists, and educators building or
repairing electromagnetic devices. The mw24-4 can be used for custom coils,
motor rewinding, robotics, sensors, audio components, electronics
prototypes, STEM projects, and electromagnetic experiments.
Common Applications
Electromagnets & Coils - Winding electromagnets and
electromagnetic coils.
Motors & Generators - Building electric motors and
generators.
Transformers & Inductors - Winding transformers and
inductors.
Solenoids & Actuators - Creating solenoids and
electromagnetic actuators.
Speakers & Voice Coils - Building speakers, voice coils,
and audio components.
Relays & Switches - Creating relays and electromagnetic
switching devices.
Motor & Coil Repair - Rewinding and repairing motors and
electrical coils.

inductive coupling experiments.
Sensors & Pickups - Creating sensors, pickups, and
detection coils.
Robotics & Electromechanical Projects - Building
robotics and electromechanical projects.
STEM & Demonstrations - Creating STEM projects and
electromagnetic demonstrations.
Thin Electrical Insulation - Enamel coating electrically
isolates adjacent turns while allowing wire to be wound closely together.
Copper Conductor - Conductive copper core efficiently
carries electrical current through coils and windings.
Compact Coil Winding - Thin insulation allows many turns
of wire to fit into a relatively small space.
Designed for Electromagnets - Ideal for winding coils
that generate a magnetic field when electrical current flows through them.
Flexible Winding Wire - Can be formed around bobbins,
cores, forms, and other components to create custom coils.
Multiple Wire Gauges - Different diameters provide
options for balancing current capacity, resistance, winding count, and
available space.
Continuous Insulated Winding - Enamel coating allows
neighboring turns to contact physically without creating an electrical
short between properly insulated sections.
Suitable for Dense Windings - Small overall diameter
helps maximize the number of turns in motors, solenoids, transformers, and
other electromagnetic devices.
Permanent Coil Construction - Can be incorporated into
finished electrical and electromechanical assemblies.
Versatile Electromagnetic Component - Useful for
building, repairing, and experimenting with a wide variety of coils and
windings.
