Metric Rubber Magnet Covers

Rubber magnet covers fit over compatible mounting magnets to provide a high-friction contact surface. They help prevent slipping and sliding while also adding cushioning and impact resistance between the magnet and the surface it is attached to.

Yes. The rubber creates a high-friction surface that helps a magnet resist sideways or downward movement. This can make a significant difference when using mounting magnets to hang objects from vertical steel surfaces.

No. Adding a rubber cover creates a small gap between the magnet and the steel surface, which reduces direct pull force. The benefit of the rubber cover is increased friction, which can greatly improve resistance to sliding in applications where the load pulls sideways across the surface.

Yes. The rubber provides a layer of cushioning between the mounting magnet and the surface. This reduces direct metal-to-metal contact and adds impact resistance when the magnet is placed against a surface.

Mounting magnets are strong neodymium magnets set inside a steel cup or channel. Round mounting magnets are also commonly called cup magnets, pot magnets or base magnets, while rectangular versions are often called channel magnets. Learn more about the advantages of mounting magnets.

Mounting magnets are designed to provide strong attraction to ferromagnetic materials such as steel and iron. The surrounding steel cup or channel redirects the magnetic field toward the contact surface, producing strong holding force when attached directly to steel.
