Magnetic Badge Holders

A magnetic badge holder is a fastener that uses magnets to attach a name tag, identification badge or ID card to clothing. The magnetic backplate is positioned behind the clothing while the badge or name tag is placed on the outside, allowing the two pieces to hold together through the fabric.

Our magnetic name tag holders use strong neodymium magnets. Neodymium magnets provide a large amount of magnetic strength for their small size, allowing compact badge holders to securely hold name tags, badges and ID cards through many common clothing materials.

Magnetic badge holders are commonly used for employee name tags, ID badges, visitor badges, conference badges and other identification. They are useful for workplaces, meetings, conventions, conferences, trade shows, parties, special events and other situations where a removable badge needs to be attached to clothing.

Magnetic name tag holders attach without puncturing the fabric, making them a convenient alternative to badge pins and other fasteners that require a hole through clothing. They can also be easily repositioned or removed without leaving a pinhole.

Magnetic strength decreases as the distance between the magnet and its mating surface increases. Magnetic badge holders work best through relatively thin clothing and may provide less holding force through thick jackets, sweaters or multiple layers of fabric.

Our magnetic badge holders are available with plastic or steel backplates, providing different construction options for name tags, badges and ID cards. Choose the style that best fits the badge design and application.

Strong magnets can interfere with some pacemakers. Because magnetic badge holders are worn on clothing and may be positioned near the chest, people with an implanted medical device should follow the device manufacturer's guidance and avoid using magnetic badge holders when appropriate.
