What is a channel magnet?

A channel magnet is a type of mounting magnet that is a rectangular magnet with a hole inside of a ferromagnetic steel channel. The steel channel concentrates the north magnetic field exiting the magnet and the south pole exiting the steel channel in a small area, increasing magnet pull force to ferromagnetic metal.
