Just type normally and use
spaces between keywords or numbers and don't use uncommon symbols
Search automatically recognizes product numbers, dimensions, pull force,
surface field (gauss), magnet grade, coating, color, magnetization direction,
hole size, shape, type, application, and more. You can combine multiple search
terms in a single search to quickly find the best matching products.
Use filters to narrow results. Too many keyword matches might have no results
(ex: red rubber n52, we carry these separately, but not together as a combo in
1 magnet). If you cannot find a magnet, please try a different combo or
contact us for assistance.
1. Product Numbers
Only supports K&J Magnetics part numbers.
Exact product numbers are checked first.
Related sizes and product families may also be shown.
Examples:
D42
D42-N52
BX084
MMA - pn base (show all related)
MMS-A - pn family (show all -A)
BX0 - pn wild (show all starting with BX0)
2. Dimensions
Supports imperial and metric dimensions, including:
Fractions (1/4, 1 1/2)
Decimals (.375, 0.25, 1.75)
Inches (1/2 in, 1.5"",
2 inches)
Millimeters (8mm, 2.5 mm)
Centimeters (2cm, 3.5cm)
Multiple dimensions (1/2 x 1/8, 8x3mm,
1 x 1 x 1/4)
If an exact size isn't available, nearby sizes or min/max are also
shown. No UOM will default to imperial inches.
3. Pull Force & Surface Field
Pull force supports:
Pounds (20.5 lb, 90 lbs)
Ounces (8 oz)
Kilograms (5 kg)
Surface field supports:
Gauss (819 gauss, 1000g,
2500 gs)
Tesla (0.8 T, 1 tesla)
If an exact value isn't available, nearby values or min/max are also
shown.
4. Keywords & Product Features
Search by shape, type, application, coating, color, grade, magnetization
direction, hole size, and more.
Examples:
rubber disc magnet
ring magnet screw hole
round red n52 magnets
countersunk M5 hole
fishing magnet
5. Combine Everything
You can combine multiple search terms in one search.
Examples:
1/2 disc N52
20 lb block magnet 1x1in n52
sewing magnets pair large 1"" N38, NI
1"" ring pairs with hole for screw
Results are ranked by how well they match your entire search.

Product Description
The pg3 is a 25 x 25 x 1 mm (0.984" x 0.984" x 0.039") piece of pyrolytic
graphite, one of the strongest diamagnetic materials available. Its strong
diamagnetic response allows it to repel magnetic fields and levitate above
properly arranged arrays of powerful neodymium magnets, making it ideal for
magnetic levitation experiments and demonstrations. Individual pieces may
vary slightly in size and thickness.
The pg3 pyrolytic graphite is designed for magnetic levitation experiments,
diamagnetism demonstrations, and other educational and scientific
applications. When positioned above a properly arranged array of strong
neodymium magnets, the graphite can levitate without requiring electricity
or active control. It is a versatile choice for students, educators,
hobbyists, researchers, and makers exploring diamagnetism, magnetic fields,
and levitation. The pg3 can be used for classroom demonstrations, STEM
projects, physics experiments, science fair projects, magnetic field
studies, and interactive exhibits.
Common Applications
Magnetic Levitation - Creating magnetic levitation
demonstrations.
Diamagnetism & Repulsion - Demonstrating diamagnetism
and magnetic repulsion.
Physics & Science Projects - Building physics
experiments and science projects.
Classroom & Laboratory Education - Teaching magnetic
properties in classrooms and laboratories.
