Will magnets work through fabric? - Yes, magnets can work through fabric and many other materials, but will lose strength or pull force over a gap. A thicker fabric will result in a lower pull force for the same magnets. Make sure to get magnets strong enough for the thickness of the fabric. How do you stick magnets to fabric? - Magnets stick or attach to fabric by having a magnet of the opposite polarity on the other side of the fabric. Our neodymium sewing magnets come in pairs and the plus matches up with the minus for a strong and secure connection.
