What is a diametric magnet?

A diametric magnet is a round magnet with a diameter that is diametrically magnetized. This means that the magnet is polarized across the diameter/round face of the magnet with the poles on the curved surfaces and not through the thickness. What is the difference between a diametrically and axially magnetized magnet?

Diametric Magnet Applications

Diametric magnets have the North and South poles on the sides of the magnet, giving them different use cases vs. typical axial magnetization.
