TT-9 Specifications

  • Grade:
    N42
  • Max Operating Temp: Maximum operating temperature, also known as maximum service temperature, is the temperature at which the magnet may be exposed to continuously with no significant long-range instability or structural changes. Learn more in our Temperature and Neodymium Magnets article.
    176°F (80°C)
  • Material: This lists the name of the material each product is composed of.
    Neodymium (NdFeb)
  • BH Max: BH max is the Maximum Energy Product at the point on the B/H Curve that has the most strength, expressed in MGOe (MegaGaussOersteds). When describing the grade of a neodymium magnet, this number is commonly referred to as the "N" number, as in Grade N52 magnets. Learn more about Bh max in our glossary.
    42 MGOe
  • Weight: This is the weight of a single magnet in ounces and grams. Variety packs (with mixed sizes) show the overall weight.
    18.4 oz (521.63 g)
  • Br Max: Br max is also called "Residual Flux Density" and is when the magnetic induction remaining in a saturated magnetic material after the magnetizing field has been removed. This is the point at which the hysteresis loop crosses the B axis at zero magnetizing force, and represents the maximum flux output from the given magnet material. By definition, this point occurs at zero air gap, and therefore cannot be seen in practical use of magnet materials. Learn more about Br max in our glossary.
    13,200 Gauss
  • Color: The color of the coating or plating on the product.
    Silver

Product Description

The tt-9 is a heavy-duty telescoping magnetic pick-up tool that extends from 11" to 61", providing more than 5 feet of reach for retrieving ferrous objects from difficult-to-access areas. It features a powerful 5/8" diameter N42 neodymium magnet with a tested pull force of approximately 15 lb, allowing it to retrieve heavier steel tools, parts, fasteners, and other ferrous objects. The tt-9 can handle temperatures up to 176°F (80°C).

The tt-9 is a powerful telescoping magnetic pick-up tool designed for retrieving steel and other ferrous objects from floors, machinery, drains, behind equipment, and other difficult-to-reach areas. Its long extendable telescoping shaft provides extended reach, while the strong neodymium magnet can lift tools, fasteners, hardware, and other ferrous objects. It is a versatile tool for mechanics, technicians, maintenance workers, contractors, fabricators, and DIY users in garages, workshops, factories, construction sites, automotive repair, and industrial environments. The tt-9 is especially useful for retrieving dropped nuts, bolts, screws, sockets, tools, and metal parts without reaching into tight or hazardous spaces.

Common Applications

  • Screws, Nuts & Bolts - Retrieving dropped screws, nuts, bolts, and fasteners.
  • Engine Compartments - Recovering metal parts from engine compartments.
  • Behind Equipment - Picking up objects behind workbenches, cabinets, and equipment.
  • Machinery & Assemblies - Retrieving ferrous parts from machinery and mechanical assemblies.
  • Tight & Confined Spaces - Reaching metal objects in narrow gaps, holes, and confined spaces.
  • Automotive Repairs - Recovering dropped tools and hardware during automotive repairs.
  • Maintenance & Assembly - Picking up small metal parts during maintenance and assembly work.
  • Drains, Pits & Openings - Retrieving objects from drains, pits, and other deep openings.
  • Equipment Repairs - Recovering hardware without disassembling surrounding equipment.
  • Metal Debris - Picking up ferrous debris from difficult-to-reach areas.
  • Garages & Workshops - Keeping a retrieval tool available in garages, workshops, and toolboxes.
  • DIY & Home Repairs - Recovering lost metal objects during DIY and home repair projects.

Product Features

  • Extendable Telescoping Shaft - Adjustable shaft extends to reach dropped metal objects in deep, narrow, and difficult-to-access spaces.
  • Magnetic Pickup Tip - Magnet attracts screws, nuts, bolts, tools, and other small ferrous objects for easy retrieval.
  • Compact Retracted Size - Telescoping design collapses for convenient storage in toolboxes, drawers, pockets, and work areas.
  • Accesses Tight Spaces - Slim shaft reaches between machinery, behind furniture, inside engine compartments, and into confined areas.
  • Adjustable Working Length - Extension can be varied to match the depth and location of the object being retrieved.
  • Permanent Magnet - Remains magnetized without requiring electricity, batteries, or an external power source.
  • Rare Earth Neodymium Magnet - The strongest type of permanent magnet available, providing exceptional strength for its size.
