What magnets are used for fridge magnets?

Any magnets can be used as fridge magnets, however, some work better than others. Plastic coated magnets or magnets with a smooth nickel finish will help prevent scratches. Magnetic push pins and cylinder magnets are great for easy removal. Having magnets strong enough to not slide down are also ideal.
