and 1/8" thick. It is magnetized through the thickness and coated with
nickel-copper-nickel plating that provides a smooth, durable surface and
helps protect the magnet from corrosion. Made from N42 neodymium grade
material, this magnet has an 8.51 lb pull force and a max operating
temperature of 176°F (80°C).
The rc62 rare earth neodymium ring magnet is a versatile choice for
hobbyists, makers, engineers, designers, and manufacturers working on
projects that benefit from an open center. Common applications include
mounting around rods, shafts, pins, and tubes, sensor and switch assemblies,
robotics, models, prototypes, displays, crafts, and custom product designs.
The center opening also makes it useful for alignment and locating systems,
routing wires or small hardware through the magnet, stacking magnets on a
guide or support, and building assemblies where components need to pass
through the magnetic area.
